Competitor Intelligence Overview

Implementation of a Competitor Intelligence Program requires, more than anything else, a correct strategic framework to make use of the competitive intelligence data. Not using a top-down modular approach within a proper strategic framework will lead to a big waste of time and money.  Establishing the right framework is something Alan Michaels can help you with; and using the right framework will make all the difference.

For major projects, we also have sophisticated templates that can be Web enabled for enterprise-wide competitor intelligence data gathering. (For example, to facilitate timely input from a nationwide sales force.) For more information, please contact Alan Michaels.

In some cases, consider using an internal blog to keep up with news about competitors. Web log software is cheaper to install and to maintain than many knowledge-sharing programs, and it's relatively easy to use. Blogs are inherently open, and, for some, unsettling. Yet they are a comfortable medium for a group of people to be given permission to publish what they feel like publishing.
